Dáil Éireann - Volume 476 - 25 March, 1997 Written Answers. - Ministerial Staff. Mr. Callely Mr. Callely 362. Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the persons appointed by him or by the Minister(s) of State at his Department as programme managers, advisers, assistants or back-up staff, either in his Department or in constituency offices; the annual remuneration paid to these staff; the names of individuals, groups or companies which have undertaken or have been approved to undertake full-time, part-time or casual consultancies, reviews, examinations, analyses or any public relations service on his behalf or on behalf of the Minister(s) of State at his Department; and the full costs in respect of these to his Department. [8005/97] Minister for Enterprise and Employment (Mr. R. Bruton) Richard Bruton Minister for Enterprise and Employment (Mr. R. Bruton): Persons appointed to unestablished positions in my office and the offices of the Ministers of State at my Department are as follows: Office of the Minister for Enterprise and Employment
Office of the Minister for Commerce, Science and Technology
1741 1742 [1741] [1742] Office of the Minister for Labour Affairs
As regards consultancies, reviews and examinations commissioned by my Department, I refer the Deputy to my detailed reply to his Question of 5 March 1997 — Volume 475 No. 8, Cols. 1897-1906 — which contains the information requested. All expenditure in respect of advertising and publicity is accounted for under Subhead A8 of my Department's Vote. The record of this expenditure for 1995, 1996 and 1997, to date, shows the following breakdown:
A separate classification for public relations is not maintained. Most of the expenditure is in respect of statutory and public information requirements and, as the amount in respect of public relations would be minimal, I consider that the time and cost involved to ascertain that amount would not be justified.
