Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the cost of the mid-term review of the Operational Programme for Agriculture, Rural Development and Forestry 1994-99, carried out by consultants, (details supplied). [5519/97] Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mr. Yates) Ivan Yates Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mr. Yates): The cost of the mid-term review of the operational programme for agriculture, rural development and forestry was £61,407.50 and has been met from the technical assistance element of the programme. The review was carried out as part of the overall review of the community support framework for Ireland, 1994-99 which is now also taking place. Mr. J. Walsh Mr. J. Walsh 149. Mr. J. Walsh asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry his views on the recommendation contained in the mid-term review of the Operational Programme for Agriculture, Rural Development and Forestry, 1994-99, that funding for headage payments should be cut by £46 million in order to reopen the control of farmyard pollution scheme. It will be a matter for that committee to decide whether the mid-term reviews of the nine operational programmes which form part of the CSF should be published or made available in the Oireachtas Library.
