Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment if he will give details of the projects supported to date by his Department under the Special Programme for Peace and Reconciliation in the Border counties; the amount allocated in this regard; and the purposes for which funding was provided. Minister for Enterprise and Employment (Mr. R. Bruton): My Department has responsibility for project selection under one measure of the special programme for peace and reconciliation in the Border counties — Boosting Growth and Retraining for Peace — Sub-Programme 1 Measure 1.

Project applications have now been received by my Department and the selection process is under way. I anticipate that all the available funds will be allocated under this measure.
