93. Mr. E. Ryan asked the Minister for Defence if the auxiliary fire service in south west division of Rathmines, Dublin 6 will be allocated one of the 16 fire engines currently being fitted out at the centre in the Phoenix Park. [3363/97]

Minister of State at the Department of Defence (Mr. J. Higgins): My Department recently acquired nine pre-owned fire appliances for use by Civil Defence. I am currently examining the distribution of these additional resources and I hope to make a decision in the near future.
