40. Mr. M. McDowell asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the proposed extension to Collinamuck National School, County Galway; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1770/97]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): Collinamuck is one of a number of urgent projects I am considering for funding in the 1997 financial allocations. I will take a decision in the matter very shortly and it will be communicated to the school management.
