Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): The total salary costs for the non-civil or public service staff attached to my office for the years 1987, 1988, 1985 and the estimated costs for 1996 are contained in the following table:

Salary cost is the main component of the cost of the staff in question. It is not feasible to realistically apportion accommodation and incidental expenses to individuals as much of the data is not recorded on a specific personal basis.
