147. Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Justice the number of guns taken into this country by hunters in each year for the past ten years; and the number of such guns checked out of the country in each of the same years. [21337/96]

Minister for Justice (Mrs. Owen): The matters raised by the Deputy are the subject of current legal proceedings taken by the National Association of Regional Game Councils. I am satisfied that it would be inappropriate for me to comment on any matter which is relevant to those proceedings and in the circumstances I cannot supply the information.
