249. Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment under the REP scheme for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment of same will be made. [19811/96]

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mr. Yates): The REP scheme includes provision for compliance checks prior to the making of second year payments.

A compliance check will be carried out shortly in this case. If all is in order, payment will issue as soon as possible thereafter.
