Mr. Flood asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give full and final approval for the redevelopment of the travellers halting site at Brookfield, Tallaght, Dublin 24; when such approval will be given; the amount of funding that will be provided by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Ms McManus): Approval has been given to the redevelopment of the travellers' halting site and to the extension of the community centre at Brookfield, Tallaght, including minor adjustments to the original proposal. The estimated cost of £530,000 will be funded by my Department. I understand that the National Building Agency Ltd., who are handling the project on behalf of South Dublin County Council, are making arrangements to invite tenders for the work.
