Ahern asked the Minister for Education the benefits and allowances made available to lone parents attending third-level courses and living in area partnership districts towards the cost of books, child minding and maintenance; the number of students currently benefiting from this scheme; if she will extend the scheme to all lone parents students; and if not, if she will extend the scheme to lone parents most in need.
