116. Mr. D. Ahern asked the Minister for Justice when she will publish her legislative proposals on insanity; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12158/96]

Minister for Justice (Mrs. Owen): As I announced on 5 June 1996, I have obtained Government approval for the drafting of a Bill to amend the law relating to criminal insanity. The Bill will be published as soon as it has been drafted.
