[750] 304. Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Justice the plans, if any, she has to upgrade the Ballymun Garda station, Dublin 11; and the timescale for carrying out this work. [6587/96]

Minister for Justice (Mrs. Owen): It is planned to construct a new station at Ballymun. The Office of Public Works has been asked to prepare a sketch scheme for the proposed works. While it is not possible to say when this project will commence, it will be progressed as quickly as possible having regard to overall priorities and the availability of finance.
