100. Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding the provision of a site for Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh, Knocknacarra, Galway; and if she will [1871] make a statement on the matter. [19028/95]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach) Niamh Bhreathnach

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): A site with development potential has been identified at Kimeenmore, Barna, County Galway. The site is landlocked and unserviced. The Department is communicating with Galway Corporation to see if these difficulties can be overcome. If these issues are resolved satisfactorily, the Department will pursue acquisition of part of the site to house the Gaelscoil.
