31. Mr. E. Byrne asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the number of persons who visited Dublin for business purposes during the past year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10828/95]

Minister for Tourism and Trade (Mr. E. Kenny): In 1994, a total of 755,000 overseas visitors came to Ireland for business purposes or to attend a conference. It is estimated that 69 per cent of these business travellers spent at least one night in Dublin.
