54. Miss M. Wallace asked the Minister for Education if she will undertake to re-establish the advisory committee on the education of hearing-impaired children as recommended by the special education review committee; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [10458/95]

Minister for Education (Ms. Bhreathnach): I am aware that the Special Education Review Committee recommended the re-establishment of the committee in question with amended terms of reference. This matter is being considered by my Department at present.
