Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): I propose to take Questions Nos. 112 and 114 together. Contract documents for these schemes are under consideration in my Department. Both projects have been included in the Lough Ree catchment protection scheme, an application for which was submitted by my Department to the European Commission for Cohesion Fund assistance in December 1994. My Department awaits the Commission's determination of the application.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): Given the high level of demands under the water and sewerage programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this scheme.
