125. Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education when a grant amounting to £8,392 due to a school (details supplied) in County Mayo for work carried out will be paid; and if her attention has been drawn to the fact that this grant is due since September 1993, when the work was completed. [9208/95]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): The position is that the work on the school referred to by the Deputy was carried out without the prior sanction of the Department. It will be necessary to have the work inspected and certified before the question of grant-aid can be considered. Arrangements are being made to have the work inspected as soon as possible.
