48. Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Education if she has received an application from the Regional Technical College, Cork for funds to upgrade the running track of that institution; and when a decision will be made for the allocation of these funds. [8442/95]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): An application seeking grant aid for the resurfacing of the track at Cork Regional Technical College has been received by my Department and is currently under consideration in the context of the funds available under the major sports facilities programme. A decision in this matter will be conveyed to the college authorities as soon as possible.
