[1331] Minister for Finance (Mr. Quinn): The Finance Bill, currently being considered by the Select Committee on Finance and General Affairs, provides that the new scheme relating to a £1000 grant for new cars replacing ten year old ones will become operative on 1 July 1995 and that a tax allowance for those in private rented accommodation is operative from 6 April 1995.
