104. Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment the average length of time taken by An Bord Pleanála to decide on appeals; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6812/95]

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): Statistics supplied to me by An Bord Pleanála in relation to appeals formally decided in 1994 indicate that the average time taken to dispose of appeals during the year was 13.4 weeks.

105. Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for the Environment the percentage of total planning applications appealed to An Bord Pleanála from each local authority for each of the years from 1990 to 1994. [6813/95]

[1009] Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): Planning statistics compiled by my Department on the basis of returns from local authorities are published in respect of each year. “Planning Statistics 1993” is the most recently available and copies are in the Oireachtas Library.
