120. Mr. O'Donoghue asked the Minister for the Environment if he will sanction the commencement of the Kells group water scheme, County [1851] Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6085/95]

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): The design for this proposed scheme, together with details relating to the overall capacity and suitability of the source, are being examined in my Department. Both the design and the water quality of the intended source will also require further examination at local level before approval for the scheme can be finalised.
