96. Mr. Power asked the Minister for Education the reason the extension at Naas Christian Brothers secondary school has not yet commenced; when her Department will allow this work to proceed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [1726/95]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): My Department authorised the board of management of Naas Christian Brothers secondary school on 21 November 1994 to place a contract for an extension at the school. It is understood from the school's consultant architect that construction has commenced.
