142. Mr. Clohessy asked the Minister for Defence the present policy on the recruitment of cadets into the Defence Forces; and if cadets will be taken in each year. [2783/94]

Minister for Defence (Mr. Andrews): It has been the practice to recruit cadets each year. This year a total of 36 cadets were recruited, 23 Army, eight Corps and five Naval Service.
