163. Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Health if a person (details supplied) in County Dublin who is being cared for by a handicapped daughter will be provided with an automatic electric bed in view of the fact that she is in the advanced stages of MS. [2368/94]

Minister for Health (Mr. Howlin): The provision of aids and appliances in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned taking account of the individual circumstances of each case. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the Chief Executive Officer, Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine [1028] the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
