[1322] 484. Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education if she has received an appeal from a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow concerning the award of a higher education grant; if she has considered the appeal; and if so, the outcome of the appeal. [501/94]

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): My Department has received an appeal from the person in question who is seeking a higher education grant. My Department is reviewing this case again in light of new information which has become available and it is hoped to have a decision in the matter shortly. I will keep the Deputy informed of developments.
