364. Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the amount of money available under the Operational [1235] Programme for Tourism, 1994 to 1999, for development of golf clubs. [958/94]

Minister for Tourism and Trade (Mr. McCreevy): The Operational Programme for Tourism, 1994-1999 provides EU funding of £23.208 million for the development of special interest holiday facilities. From within this aggregate sum, my Department has indicated an overall budget of £2 million for eligible golf course and clubhouse developments.
