86. Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment if a mandatory period of days will be allowed for production of documents to a Garda station [1508] before proceedings in traffic cases are commenced.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. M. Smith): I have no proposals for amendment of the requirements in the Road Traffic Acts, 1961 to 1994 governing the production of documents following a demand or requirement made by a member of the Garda Síochána.
