59. Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Environment when he will announce the specific areas in Dungarvan, County Waterford, to be included under the urban renewal designation scheme; and if he will consult with all elected representatives for the area prior to any decision.

Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Mr. Stagg): Details of the specific areas to be designated under the new urban renewal scheme, which will include Dungarvan, will be announced as soon as possible. My Department has already consulted with the local authorities concerned regarding the specific areas to be designated. All reports and submissions made in regard to designation are also being taken into account.
