An Leas-Cheann Comhairle Joe Jacob
An Leas-Cheann Comhairle: I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy John Bruton — the lack of funding towards a hydrographic survey of the Nanny River catchment, County Meath, in order to address the recurrent flooding of homes at Duleek and Julianstown; (2) Deputy Crawford — whether the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry intends to amend the compensation structures for TB and Brucellosis to take account of the hardship caused to farming families, especially in the income supplement area which is subject to a 100 animal restriction instead of a 100 livestock unit; (3) Deputy Gay Mitchell — the subject matter of the Adjournment Debate of 18 November 1993, concerning the payment of mortgage subsidy to two families; (4) Deputy Gallagher (LaoghisOffaly) — the urgent need to grant approval for the group water scheme at Tinnycross, Tullamore, County Offaly, in view of the serious pollution of groundwater in the area and the lack of suitable alternative supply for local residents; (5) Deputy O'Donnell—the need for a postprimary school in Knocklyon, Dublin 16; (6) Deputy Deenihan — the lack of adequate transport for children from the Castleisland area to Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí, Tralee, County Kerry.
The matters raised by the following have been selected for discussion:—
Deputies John Bruton, Gallagher (LaoisOffaly), Crawford and O'Donnell.
