71. Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice the proposals, if any, she has to update legislation relating to coroners.

Minister for Justice (Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn): I could not undertake to indicate, by way of reply to a Parliamentary Question, what specific legislative proposals, if any, I might have in mind. Any proposals I might have to amend the Coroners Act, 1962, would be brought before the Government for consideration [86] and approval before being announced in the ordinary way.
