134. Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in having installation aid approved and paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and the corrective action, if any, that can be taken by this person if his application is not in order.

Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mr. J. Walsh): This application was cleared by Teagasc on 30 June 1992. However, the Department discovered that the applicant sold a substantial portion of his holding in two lots subsequent to being set up which rendered him ineligible for installation aid. He was informed accordingly by letter dated 9 June 1993.

135. Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the suckler cow quota entitlement of a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

[1103] Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry (Mr. J. Walsh): The relevant EC Regulations provide for suckler cow quotas to be based on the number of cows on which a producer was paid premium under the 1992 suckler cow premium Scheme. The person named was paid premium on 40 suckler cows under that Scheme and has a quota entitlement of 39 premium rights, one premium right having been deducted as a contribution to the national reserve.
