[690] 79. Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for the Environment when he will allow building to commence on the new library in Listowel, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. M. Smith): Proposals in relation to the acceptance of a tender for the construction of a new library in Listowel are being examined in my Department. A decision on the matter will be made as soon as possible, having regard to the overall level of resources available.
