171. Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Tourism and Trade the value of export sales of Irish-owned small medium [1619] enterprises in each of the years from 1988 to date.

Minister for Tourism and Trade (Mr. McCreevy): Statistics of export sales of all Irish owned small and medium enterprises are not collected by the Central Statistics Office. However, An Bord Tráchtála's annual survey of exporters gives statistics on exports of manufactured goods and services by indigenous exporters, most of whom would be small and medium enterprises. These statistics exclude exports of bulk meat, dairy products and fish. Export sales of indigenous industry in the last five years are as follows:
