152. Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education the plans, if any, she has to provide a costing and time-scale towards setting up a pre-school system in disdvantaged areas as outlined in the Programme for a Partnership Government 1993-1997.

Minister of Education (Ms Bhreathnach): Planning is at present under way in relation to the proposed pre-school projects which I have announced.

This work includes the matters to which the Deputy refers. Details will be announced when planning work has been completed.
