126. Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be called for an operation for a nose and ear problem by the Southern Health Board; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Health (Mr. Howlin): I have made inquiries of the hospital authorities about this case and I have been informed that the patient concerned will be called for an out-patient appointment within the next few weeks. At this stage the hospital authorities expect the patient to be admitted for surgery shortly afterwards.
