79. Mr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, he has for the future of the old Garda station in Monaghan town; and when a decision will be made and implemented.

Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Dempsey): The old Garda station in Monaghan town has been retained by the Commissioners of Public Works with a view to its refurbishment as accommodation for Government Departments. Briefs of accommodation requirements have been sought from the relevant Departments to enable the [1162] drawing up of detailed proposals for the requisite adaptation works.
