The question of remedial teaching posts will form a key element in this consideration. In this connection the Porgramme for a Partnership Government provides for the recruitment of 500 remedial teachers by September, 1996. 277 The level of remedial need in primary schools is identified on the basis of data and information collected from schools [277] by my Department's Inspectorate.
