215. Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education the number of people appointed by her to her constituency [156] office; the qualifications of those so appointed; and the remuneration involved is each case.

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): The staff in my constituency office comprises of four civil servants and one Dáil secretary as follows:

1 Staff Officer	£15,757 p.a.
1 Clerical Officer	£231.89 p.w.
1 Clerical Assistant (clerical duties)	£217.95 p.w.
1 Clerical Assistant (typing duties)	£217.95 p.w.
1 Dáil Secretary	Salary currently being finalised in line with standard practice and Government guidelines. Qualifications include secretarial, computer and accounting skills.
