238. Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for the Environment when funds will be made available for the small sewerage scheme of Monasteraden, County Sligo for which plans have been submitted by Sligo County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. M. Smith): A preliminary report for the Monasteraden sewerage scheme is under examination in my Department. Having [944] regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when there may be a decision on this scheme.
