Brady asked the Minister for Defence if Collins Barracks, Dublin, will close at the end of 1992 as scheduled; if so, the plans, if any, there are to accommodate the facilities and personnel elsewhere; and the estimated cost. Wilson Minister for Defence (Mr. Wilson): The essential accommodation for the personnel and facilities to be evacuated from Collins Barracks, Dublin is being provided at McKee and Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin. A sum of £3.74 million has been spent to date on such accommodation. It is not possible to state the final costs. A firm of auctioneers has been appointed to undertake the marketing and sale of the property and it is anticipated that the advertising of the property will commence this month.
