Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Health if he will outline, for the years 1990 and 1991, in respect of the following hospitals, (a) Cork Regional, (b) South Infirmary-Victoria, (c) Mercy and (d) Mallow General, (1) the original financial allocation, (2) the percentage increase over the previous year, (3) the number of inpatients treated, (4) the average duration of stays, (5) the total number of inpatient days, (6) the percentage increase over the previous year and (7) the estimated daily cost per patient. My Department does not make a specific allocation in respect of Cork Regional and Mallow Hospitals. These hospitals are under the aegis of the Southern Health Board and it is a matter for the board to allocate resources in respect of the services provided in these hospitals from within the total allocation made available to it by my Department. 2.
