Dáil Éireann - Volume 417 - 24 March, 1992

Written Answers. - Bandon (Cork) School Transport Arrangements.

201. Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to widespread discontent among parents and pupils with the school transport arrangements to a school (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will have arrangements made to have all pupils attending the school delivered to the school premises by all transport operators sanctioned by his Department.

[1193] Minister for Education (Mr. S. Brennan): Bus Éireann is the agency appointed by Government to operate the school transport scheme.

I am satisfied that the standard of service which they are providing to the pupils of the post primary school in question is adequate in the context of the general operation of the scheme.
