Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the arrangements for night time security of the 1916 Arbour Hill plot; and if he will outline the steps which are being taken to ensure that those responsible carry out their duties properly in view of the extensive vandalism recently to the chapel, gravestones and caretaker's lodge.

Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. N. Treacy): I do not think it advisable to publicise details of night time security at Arbour Hill. However, I am concerned that there should be an increase in the level of security and have asked my officials to pursue the matter with the Army authorities.
