61. Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Defence the reason overnight sleeping accommodation is no longer available to FCA, Slua Muirí or other ranks of personnel in Gormanston Camp; whether any other permanetly manned Defence Force barracks is no longer able to cater for such personnel; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

[146] Minister for Defence (Mr. Wilson): The overnight accommodation available for FCA and Slua Muirí personnel at Gormanston Camp is not suitable for use at this time of year. It will be of an acceptable standard by April next. Other permanently manned barracks are not so affected.
