399. Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education if he will outline (1) the number of (a) temporary and (b) part-time teachers employed by Westmeath Vocational Education Committee and (2) the number of these posts that may become permanent in 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mr. Davern): The information sought by the Deputy in so far as the current school session is concerned, is as follows:

I am not in a position to say how many permanent posts can be approved for 1992-93 pending receipt of the committee's proposals and consultation by my Department.
