[258] 337. Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the urgent need to provide sewerage facilities for Donegal town; if he will outline the up-to-date position regarding the proposed sewerage scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Dr. O'Hanlon): The original proposal for this scheme is now being revised by Donegal County Council to take account of the recommendation of a recent hydrographic survey of the Eske Estuary that secondary treatment should be provided.
