54. Mr. Cosgrave asked the Minister for Defence if an offer has been received to purchase Collins Barracks, Dublin 7; and if he will make a statement on the relocation of personnel from the barracks.

63. Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Defence the current position in relation to the proposed sale of Collins Barracks, Dublin 7.

Minister for Defence (Mr. V. Brady): I propose to take Questions Nos. 54 and 63 together.

The plans for the relocation of personnel at present located at Collins Barracks, Dublin to new and refurbished accommodation in McKee and Cathal Brugha Barracks are proceeding.

Until such time as the personnel have been re-located, it would not be possible to dispose of Collins Barracks. There has been no offer to date for the purchase of this property.
