[1821] 47. Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Education if he has any plans to improve educational, youth, and outreach facilities in particularly disadvantaged urban areas, particularly in view of the growing crime rate in these areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mr. Davern): Catering for the disadvantaged is a first priority for myself and my Department. It will constitute a major theme of the forthcoming Green Paper in which various actions and initiatives in this regard will be outlined.
