151. Mr. Currie asked the Minister for the Environment when he will meet with members of Dublin County Council who wish to discuss with him the matter of funding for the library programme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Wilson): A request to meet a delegation from Dublin County Council in relation to the provision of capital for library development has recently been received. As my Department have no proposals from the council for the provision of new libraries, no useful purpose would be served by such a meeting.
