[282] 189. Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that surgery has been discontinued at St. Mary's Orthopaedic Hospital, Cork, due to the lack of clean air facilities in the theatre; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Health (Dr. O'Hanlon): I have had inquiries made of the Southern Health Board and the position is that surgery has not been discontinued at St. Mary's Orthopaedic Hospital, Cork. I am informed by the health board that there has been no interruption of service to date.
